Getting There
Bike to the Festival
A bicycle is a great way to get to the Festival. There are permanent bike racks at the site, and extra racks are available in the parking lot (see the site map).
Free Shuttle Bus
FREE Festival shuttle buses will run between the Festival and the Takoma Metro Station and the Montgomery College East Garage during the Festival (10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.). If you are driving, head straight for the garage.
Two free shuttle buses will run from the Takoma Metro Station directly to the Festival. Shuttles will pick up passengers at the bus area near the Kiss-and-Ride lot.
A free shuttle bus will run from Montgomery College East Garage to the Festival. Pickup will be at the entrance to the garage on Fenton Street, near King Street, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910.
NOTICE: The Festival’s free shuttles will be running from the Takoma Metro station. Metro is planning to shut a large portion of the Red Line (but not our station) for track maintenance on Festival weekend. Therefore, advance planning and extra time is advised. See

Walk from Metro or Parking
You can walk from either the Takoma Metro station or Festival Parking in less than half an hour following the routes below. The total distance from the parking garage is about 3/4 mile and from the Metro station about 0.9 mile. From the parking garage, the walk is mostly downhill. From Metro, it is up, down, and up again.
From Parking, cross Fenton Street and walk one block on Islington Street.
Turn left on Chicago Avenue and walk one short block.
Turn right on Philadelphia Avenue (MD 410) and walk two long blocks and one very short block.
Turn left on Piney Branch Road, where it’s one long block uphill to the Festival.
From Takoma Metro, cross the parking lot and walk left on Eastern Avenue one block.
Turn right on Holly Avenue and walk a couple of very long blocks.
Turn left on Grant Avenue to the Festival.
